摘要
近代台山县内侨资充足,乡族势力充分发动香港地区、海外台山人进行公路建设投资。公路通车后,勷办公路的乡族绅商、华侨都投资组建了行车公司。但是,台山县路潮此起彼伏,路权斗争持续多年。最终县政府“还路于民”,形成了台山县路权分散、各自为政的格局。选取台山县的路权斗争作个案研究,分析参与公路建设的县政府、绅商、海外台山人等力量如何分享路权和公路运输的利润,从而反映近代侨乡社会治理的状况。
Modern Taishan had sufficient funds from overseas Chinese,and the local people fully mobilized their counterparts in Hong Kong and overseas to invest in highway construction.After the highways were opened to traffic,the local gentry and merchants and overseas Chinese wished to run the highways and established relevant transportation companies.However,the road construction tide in Taishan fluctuated,and the road rights struggle lasted for many years.Finally,the county government returned the roads to the people,thus developing a decentralized and fragmented pattern of road rights.This paper selects the road rights dispute in Taishan County for a case study,and analyzes how the county government,the local gentry and businessmen,and the overseas Taishan people who participated in the highway construction shared the profits from the road rights and transportation business,reflecting the modern social governance in Taishan.
