多因素分析视角下译者自我修改共性研究——基于被动语态的考察

Multivariate Analysis on Universals of Self-Revision:Taking Passive Voice as An Example

本文基于译者自我修改语料库,采用多因素分析的方法,以被动语态为个案,基于八个因素,探讨自我修改规律。研究发现:(1)自我修改频率高达52.81%。(2)多因素统计显示影响被动语态自我修改的主要因素为语义韵、地域和修改年代。本文尝试提出译者自我修改共性假设。自我修改呈现显化趋势和规范化趋势,与译者翻译思想、目标语语言规范和译者所处语言环境等有一定关系。

Based on self-revision English-Chinese parallel corpus,taking passive voice as an example,this paper selects eight potential indicators to explore translators’self-revision regulations with multivariate analysis.The findings are:(1)The highest revision rate is 52.81%.(2)The result of multivariate analysis shows that major influential indicators of self-revision are prosody,region,and revision time.This paper attempts to initiate self-revision universal hypothesis.Self-revision tends to have features of increasing explicitness and normalized language,which is relatively related to changes of translators’ thoughts, target language norms, and language context.
