Memories on the Two National University Library Working Conferences——Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Founding of the Steering Committee for Academic Libraries of China

文章回顾并总结了1981年和1987年两次全国高校图书馆工作会议的筹备、召开情况和取得的一系列成果。针对当时尤其突出的文献资源建设问题,仔细梳理了“全国文献资源调查和布局研究”项目的立项、实施、取得的成效和存在的不足。结合历史文化、现代西方图书馆学理论以及实际情况,探讨了高校图书馆的学术性定位和内涵,为了解我国高校图书馆发展历史,促进新时期高校图书馆高质量发展提供启示。

In the form of memoirs,the article reviews and summarizes the preparation,holding and a series of achievements of the two national conferences on university library work in 1981 and 1987.In view of the problems of documentary resource construction,the project,implementation,achievements and shortcomings of the“National Documentary Resource Survey and Layout Study”are detailed.The academic orientation and connotation of university libraries are discussed in the light of the history and culture,modern western librarianship theory and actual situation,so as to provide inspiration for understanding the history of development of university libraries in China and promoting the high-quality development of university libraries in the new era.
