王平教授认为改善口苦症状需要辨病与辨证论治相结合,既要了解导致口苦的病理生理变化,又要从脏腑盛衰和气血阴阳失调论治。王平教授认为口苦之症虽表现于口而联系脏腑,临床证见有实有虚,诊治的关键在于抓住病机,实责之火热炽盛、痰阻气滞,虚责之元虚本衰,少阴水亏。临证在中医辨证论治及治疗西医原发病的基础上,常配合使用序贯疗法,始以清心宁神、收敛神气,继之清泻阳明、散其炎烈,续以疏肝利胆、调畅气机,终以培元固本、健脾益肾。

Prof.WANG Ping believes that to improve the symptoms of bitter mouth,it is necessary to combine disease differentiation with syndrome differentiation for treatment,not only to understand the pathophysiological changes leading to bitter mouth,but also from the rise and fall of zang-fu organs and the imbalance of qi,blood and yin and yang.He also believes that"the five zang organs and six fu organs all make the population suffer,not be indecisive".Clinical evidence shows that there are both real and virtual diseases.The key to diagnosis and treatment lies in grasping the pathogenesis of the disease.On the basis of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment of primary disease in western medicine,sequential therapy is often begin by clearing the heart,calming the mind,restraining the spirit,then clearing the yangming,dispelling its inflammation,continuing to soothe the liver and gallbladder,regulating the qi machine,and finally strengthening the root,invigorating the spleen andkidney.
