知识产权保护与出口产品质量升级——基于微观数据的实证检验

Intellectual Property Protection and Quality Upgrade of Export Product:Empirical Testing based on Micro Data

选取2010—2020年中国工业企业数据与中国海关数据,通过面板数据模型实证检验知识产权保护对中国企业出口产品质量升级的影响及其作用机制。研究表明,加强知识产权保护能够显著促进企业出口产品质量升级。异质性分析表明,知识产权保护对高技术行业企业、一般贸易企业和外资企业出口产品质量升级的促进作用更强。机制检验显示,知识产权保护通过缓解融资约束和增加外商直接投资规模两种渠道促进企业出口产品质量升级。据此,提出加强知识产权保护立法和执法力度、全面推进金融体制深化改革、实施差别化知识产权保护政策的相关建议,以期促进企业出口产品质量升级。

This paper uses panel data model to empirically test the impact of intellectual property protection on the quality upgrading of Chinese enterprises' export products and its mechanism by matching the data of Chinese industrial enterprises and Chinese customs from 2010 to 2020.The research shows that strengthening intellectual property protection can significantly promote the upgrading of export product quality of enterprises.The heterogeneity analysis shows that intellectual property protection plays a stronger role in promoting the upgrading of export product quality of high-tech industry enterprises,general trade enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises.The mechanism test shows that intellectual property protection promotes the quality upgrading of enterprises' export products through two channels:Easing financing constraints and increasing the scale of foreign direct investment.On this basis,this paper proposes to strengthen the legislation and enforcement of intellectual property protection,comprehensively promote the deepening reform of the financial system,and implement differentiated intellectual property protection policies,so as to promote the upgrading of the quality of enterprises' export products.
