摘要
《道德经》一书是道家哲学思想的重要体现,它对中国的哲学、政治、宗教、文学等都产生了深远的影响。该书不但在国内家喻户晓,在国际上也久负盛名,因而其外文译本众多。以许渊冲英译版本LawsDivineandHuman为文本,从关联理论的视角来对《道德经》英译本进行探讨分析,以期丰富《道德经》的英译研究和道家思想的传播。关联理论认为,译者应通过原文作者和译文读者的认知语境,通过明示推理正确译出原文内容的方式,使翻译达到最佳关联的译文。
Tao Te Ching is an important embodiment of Taoism,which has exerted a far-reaching impact on Chinese philosophy,politics,religion,literature and so on.The book is well-known not only in China but also in the world,so it has many translations in different languages.Xu Yuanchong's English translationLaws Divine and Human will be analyzed from the perspective of relevance theory to enrich the English translation studiesof the Tao Te Ching and the dissemination of Taoist thought.According to relevance theory,the translator should correctly translate the original content through anostensive-inferentialprocess according to the cognitive context s of the original author and the target reader,so as to obtain the translation conforming to optimal relevance.
