摘要
有关赛珍珠译《水浒传》的翻译研究成果丰硕,但目前还没有关于书中酒文化的翻译研究。在马克思主义实践论和认识论指导下,文章运用王寅教授提出的本土化翻译理论体认翻译学的核心要素“体”和“认”探究流传最广、影响最大的赛珍珠译《水浒传》中酒文化元素的翻译,发现凡是“体”和“认”结合紧密之处,译文就能在忠实、准确、通顺等方面与原文最大限度地保持一致,否则就可能扭曲、背离或偏离原文。译者只有在“体”上无限接近,在“认”上既充分发挥“体”的影响,同时又受其制约,在译者能动性与受动性之间保持微妙的平衡,才能使译文既忠实于原文,同时又具有一定的创造性,最大限度地实现“仿”与“创”的有机统一。
The translation researches on Pearl Buck’s version All Men Are Brothers have been fruitful,but no researches have been found on the translation of its wine culture.This paper uses the localized translation theory of Embodied-Cognitive Translatology(ECT)proposed by Professor Wang Yin to apply the core elements of embodiment and cognition to explore the translation of wine culture elements in the most widely circulated and most influential translation of Pearl Buck.It is found that if embodiment and cognition are closely connected,the version can be as faithful,accurate and fluent as possible to be consistent with the original text to the maximum extent,otherwise it may distort or deviate from the original text.Therefore,the author proposes that only when the translator is infinitely close to the embodiment,fully exerting the influence of the embodiment in the cognition,and is restricted by it in the meanwhile,maintaining a delicate balance between the translator’s initiative and passiveness,can the translation be faithful to the original text and creative.
