基于专利申请的脑机接口技术领域创新主体竞争态势分析

Analysis of competition situation of innovation subjects in the field of brain computer interface technology based on patent applications

目的:研究脑机接口(BCI)技术领域创新主体的竞争形式,为国内创新主体未来的技术发展和专利布局提供参考。方法:检索1980年1月1日至2022年10月19日IncoPat专利数据库中BCI技术专利,通过BCI相关中英文关键词结合分类号进行检索,并针对重要申请人进行补充检索,对BCI技术领域的专利申请进行分析研究。结果:通过简单同族合并,共获取全球BCI技术专利申请2255项,其中2001年之后的专利申请2240项,目前的专利有效量为886项。我国BCI技术领域专利申请量已占据全球申请量的二分之一;创新主体专利申请量和有效量分别为1135项和432项,均位列第1,而专利申请的有效率不高;全球排名前20的申请人中外国申请人以公司为主,我国申请人均为高校和科研院所,表明该技术在国外已经得到产业化应用,而我国还处于实验室科研阶段。结论:我国申请人在BCI技术领域已逐渐占据主导地位,但专利布局还不够合理,在国外市场的竞争力还存在不足,专利申请的稳定性有待进一步提高。

Objective:To study the competitive forms of innovation subjects in the field of brain computer interface(BCI)technology,and to provide reference for the future technological development and patent layout of domestic innovation subjects.Methods:The brain computer interface technology patents in the IncoPat patent database from January 1,1980 to October 19,2022 were searched.The relevant Chinese and English keywords via the brain-computer interface in combination with the category number were Retrieved with a supplementary retrieval targeted at important applicants.Analysis and research on patent applications in the field of brain-computer interface technology were conducted.Results:Through simple family merger,a total of 2,255 patent applications for global brain computer interface technology were obtained,including 2,240 patents after 2001 and the current effective number of patents was 886.The number of patent application in the field of brain computer interface technology in China has accounted for one-half of the global applications;the number of patent applications and the number of effective number of innovation-oriented subjects were 1,135 and 432,respectively,ranking first,while the effective rate of patent applications was not high.Among the global top 20 applicants,foreign applicants were mainly companies,while Chinese applicants were universities and research institutes,indicating that the technology had been industrialized abroad,while China was still in the stage of laboratory research.Conclusion:Chinese applicants have gradually occupied a dominant position in the field of brain computer interface technology.However,the patent layout is not reasonable enough,and he competitiveness in foreign markets is not enough.Therefore,the stability of patent applications in China needs to be further improved.
