China's first million-ton offshore carbon capture and storage project goes into operation,In the eastem waters of the South China Sea stands an oil platform located 200 km south-1 west of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province.Known as Enping I5-1 and put into operation last December,it is the largest offshore oil production platform in Asia.The platform is independently designed,built,installed and operatec by China National Ofishore Oil Corp.(CNOOC),the largest ofshore oil and gas producer in China.
