This paper starts with the consumption of insect food by Japanese consumers,and analyzes the impact of insect food on the Japanese food system from multiple perspectives.Through information sorting,the nutritional composition characteristics of Japanese insect food and its relationship with food quality are sorted out.By examining the acceptance of insect food by Japanese people,the market consumption characteristics and consumption psychology of Japanese edible insects are explored.With the increase of public awareness of insect food,more Japanese hope that more insect food or food ingredients will be developed and applied out of the consideration of rational use of resources and environmental protection.The Japanese food industry is following this trend and actively promoting new insect foods and food ingredients.
