Housecroft&Sharpe’s Inorganic Chemistry is a popular,internationally acknowledged textbook which covers inorganic principles,descriptive inorganic chemistry,bioinorganic chemistry and applications of the subject in catalysis,industrial processes and materials.This article aims to provide valuable references for the compilation of inorganic chemistry textbooks in China by introducing and comparing the contents and layout of this textbook with domestic ones.It also offers a choice of reference textbooks for teachers engaged in inorganic chemistry teaching.
