Music is a language in which the composer can use musical notation to write the intended narrative into the text,and the listener comprehends the story from the medium by reading and listening to the text.Music distinguishes itself from literature while could be inspired by other art forms.Taking the narrative and topic as a starting point,this article uses Mahler's Symphony No.2 as a case study to reveal Mahler's implicit narrative and approaches through a musical text and structural analysis.It aims to unlock the hidden riddles of Mahler's musical language.The revival of Mahler was closely linked to the aesthetic changes of the times.The continued popularity of his works from the 1960s onwards was not a fulfilment of the prophecy of 1902 but an effect of the dramatic changes in history and the flourishing of textual theory.Along with a change in the aes-thetic judgement of Mahler's music by its recipients,a weakness of musical and cultural fusion became its true strength.The significance of this historically.immeasurable'work responds to all previous interpretations and stylistic categories of absolute music.
