The Form Characteristics and Cultural Connotations of Contemporary Science Fiction Films on China's mainland

中国的许多科幻片,缺乏一种面向未来的指向性,固步于现实时空的维度,满足于在一部正常的故事片中加入一点“科幻”点缀或者调味品,只有少数影片体现了整体性的科幻设定和世界观的建构。对“科幻”的理解不能停留在片断和零散的层面,而是应该严肃对待科学幻想的片段或者元素,同时不能忽略情节本身的严谨与合理性。科幻片应该借助情节流畅、情绪感染力充沛的故事,打造一个更为逼真宏伟的未来世界,蕴藏深厚的人文反思,并彰显民族特色,体现文化自信。

Many“science fiction films”in China lack a futuristic orientation confined within the dimensions of real time and space,and are content to embellish or polish the feature films with sci-fi elements.Only a few films reflect the general setting and worldview construction of the science fiction.The author believes that the understanding of“science fiction”should not be confined with the fragments and fragmentation,but should seriously treat the fragments or elements of science fiction,while not ignoring the rigor and rationality of the plot itself.Science fiction films should employ stories with marvelous plots and strong emotional appeal to create a more realistic and grand future world,which contains profound humanistic reflections,highlights national characteristics and reflects cultural confidence.
