Experience and Enlightenment of the CPC in Resolving Social Contradictionsin Ethnic Areas for a Hundred Years

百年来,中国共产党基于不同历史背景和民族地区社会矛盾实际,坚持维护少数民族人民群众利益和推进民族团结进步,不断开展民族地区社会矛盾化解工作,取得了历史性成就。百年来,党在化解民族地区社会矛盾的实践中积累了宝贵经验,即坚持党的领导,重视少数民族干部的培养与使用;区分矛盾性质,以正确处理人民内部矛盾为主题;以发展为根本,从根源上化解民族地区社会矛盾;以制度为保障,健全民族地区社会矛盾化解制度。新征程上,党在化解民族地区社会矛盾过程中,应当坚持和加强党对民族地区社会矛盾化解工作的全面领导;在社会主要矛盾之下准确把握新时代民族地区社会矛盾;通过物质精神文明协调发展化解民族地区社会矛盾根源;加强民族地区治理法治化建设以保障社会矛盾依法化解。

In the past one hundred years,the Communist Party of China(CPC)has taken safeguarding the interests of the people of ethnic minorities and promoting national unity and progress as its core goal based on different historical backgrounds and the reality of social contradictions in ethnic areas,and has constantly carried out the work of resolving social contradictions in ethnic areas,making historic achievements.In the past one hundred years,the CPC has accumulated rich experience in resolving social conflicts in ethnic areas,that is,adhering to the leadership of the party and paying attention to the training and use of ethnic minority cadres;distinguishing the nature of contradictions,with the theme of correctly handling internal contradictions among the people;taking development as the root to resolve the social contradictions in ethnic areas;with the system as the guarantee,improving the system of resolving social contradictions in ethnic areas.On the new journey,in the process of resolving social contradictions in ethnic minority areas,the Party should adhere to and strengthen the Party’s overall leadership in resolving social contradictions in ethnic minority areas;accurately grasp social contradictions in ethnic areas of the new era under the main social contradictions;resolve the root causes of social conflicts in ethnic areas through the coordinated development of material and spiritual civilization;strengthen the construction of law-based governance in ethnic minority areas to ensure the resolution of social conflicts in accordance with the law.
