The Logic and Realistic Goal of Modernization

现代化是一个充满争议的概念和现实。现代化动力源于人类想改变传统农业占主导的发展模式。但只有在工业革命之后,现代化才渗透到世界几乎所有的领域。新时期中国现代化突破了世界其他国家经历过的发展模式,打破了西方传统现代化发展道路的理论。进入新时代以来,在中国特色社会主义的建设过程中,中国人民开创了一条以人民为中心、共富共享、和平发展、合作共赢的“中国式现代化新道路”,克服了传统现代化范式的理论桎梏,开辟了人类历史上前所未有的崭新道路,为世界尤其是广大第三世界国家走向现代化提供了借鉴。

Modernization is a controversial concept as well as a reality.The driving force for modernization stems from human’s desire to change the traditional agrarian-dominated model of development.However,it was not until the Industrial Revolution that modernization penetrated into almost all fields of the world.China’s modernization in the new era is a breakthrough from the development model experienced by other countries throughout the world and contradicts traditional Western views of the modernization path.Since the beginning of the new era,in the course of building socialism with Chinese characteristics,the Chinese people have created“a new and Chinese path to modernization”that is people-centered,sharing of wealth,peaceful development,and win-win cooperation,overcoming the theoretical shackles of the traditional paradigm of modernization and opening up a brand new road unprecedented in human history,which has provided experience for the world,especially the vast number of Third World countries,to move towards modernization.
