习近平总书记在党的二十大报告中强调了民为邦本这一传统观念与科学社会主义价值观的紧密联系。民为邦本的时代价值具体体现在三个方面。首先,它包含政为民政、政以为民的思想,这与现代民主政治以实现人民利益为目的的治理理念高度契合,可以作为现代民主政治的理论资源。其次,它强调以德治国、为政以德,为党的作风建设提供了可以参考的方法。最后,它不仅以优先保障民生为治理原则,还强调要将富民的理念付诸实践。这些都是民本思想带给我们的宝贵财富。

General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the close connection between the traditional concept that people are the foundation of a state and the values of scientific socialism in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.The times value of the concept is manifested in three aspects.Firstly,the concept contains the idea of governing with the people and governing for the people,which is highly consistent with the governance concept of modern democratic political system that aims to realize the interests of the people.At the same time,the concept can serve as theoretical resources for modern democracy.Secondly,the emphasis on governing with virtue and governing with morality in that concept that people are the foundation of a state provides reference for the Party's style of work construction.Finally,this concept not only prioritizes safeguarding the people's livelihood as a governance principle but also emphasizes the practical implementation of enriching the people,which are all valuable assets brought by the concept that people are the foundation of a state.
