平行语料库在翻译教学中的运用——以《传习录》英译为例

摘要 目前的大学英语翻译教学未充分开展系统翻译教学,较难满足翻译市场的发展需求。我们以《传习录》中的汉英平行语料库为研究语料,打破教科书、教师、课堂和机器辅助翻译的限制,输入检索词,搜索词、词组、句子、语篇进行比较。通过个案研究、数据对比、平行语料对比等方式,教师引导学生观察英汉两种语言在词汇、句法、修辞等方面的差异,探索翻译策略和方法,实现翻译教学由以教师为中心的翻译理论知识灌输向以学生为中心的自主研究学习与实践的转变。 The current teaching of English translation in universities is not adequately developed in terms of systematic translation instruction,making it difficult to meet the demands of the translation market.In translation classrooms,teachers can use the Chinese-English parallel corpus from Chuanxilu as research material,breaking free from the constraints of textbooks,teachers,classrooms,and machine-assisted translation.By inputting search terms in the parallel corpus and comparing vocabulary,phrases,sentences,and discourse,teachers can guide students to observe the differences between English and Chinese in terms of vocabulary,syntax,rhetoric,and other aspects.Through case studies,data comparisons,parallel corpus comparisons,and other methods,teachers can help students explore translation strategies and methods,aiming to transform translation teaching from teacher-centered transmission of theoretical knowledge to student-centered autonomous research,learning,and practice.
