This paper elaborates on the market status of encapsulants for solar modules and several common encapsulants,including ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer,polyolefin elastomer,polyvinyl butyral film,etc.The main leading companies from upstream raw materials to downstream application fields are mentioned.The functional characteristics and industrial development process of various solar cell encapsulants are emphasized.The preparation methods and production processes of common encapsulants are introduced.The recycling of photovoltaic modules and packaging materials used as auxiliary materials for modules is also presented.
