摘要
黄道十二宫起源于古巴比伦,公元6世纪随佛教从印度传入我国。这一题材分布广泛,在中西绘画、雕刻等方面都有所表现。受我国古代天文、道教、佛教等传统文化影响,黄道十二宫传入后逐渐中国化,具体表现在名称、象征符号、人格化等方面。水陆画中的黄道十二宫图像具有鲜明的人格化特征,与代表十二宫辰身份的象征符号相比,人格神已成为画面中心。
The twelve signs of the zodiac originated in ancient Babylon and were introduced to China from India together with Buddhism in the sixth century AD.This subject matter is widely distributed and is expressed in Chinese and Western painting,sculpture and other art forms.Influenced by China's ancient astronomy,Taoism,Buddhism,and other traditional cultures,the zodiac signs were gradually sinicized after their introduction,a phenomenon clearly manifest in names,symbols,personalities,and other aspects of the signs.The image of the zodiac in land-and-water paintings displays distinct traits of personification,and divinities in human form have gradually become the center of the picture,compared to the symbolism representing the identity of the twelve zodiac signs.
