Analysis on the Value Connotation of Zhang Zai’s“4-wei Statements”

“为天地立心,为生民立命,为往圣继绝学,为万事开太平”,是北宋理学家张载的经典名句,震古烁今,指引了无数中华民族有志之士的人生奋斗目标。因此,当下要继承“四为句”中的精神文化内涵,应将其在本体论、认识论,以及方法论上进行辩证分析,再经过反思性扬弃,使其能融入当代中国社会主义精神文化之中,为实现中华民族伟大复兴贡献力量。

The classic saying of Zhang Zai,a Neo-Confucianism scholar of the Northern Song Dynasty,is as the following“to stand firm for heaven and earth;to establish destiny for the people;to inherit unique knowledge for the saints;to create peace for all things”.It has shaken the ancient and modern times and guided the life goals of countless Chinese people with lofty ideals.Therefore,in order to inherit the spiritual and cultural connotations of the“4-wei statements”,it is necessary to conduct a dialectical analysis on ontology,epistemology,and methodology,and then through reflective sublation,to integrate it into the contemporary socialist spiritual culture of China and contribute to the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
