Cardiac implantable electronic device(CIED)infection is an increasingly common complication in clinical practice,which significantly increases patient mortality and economic burden.We reviewed the literature on the epidemiology,risk factors,and pathogenesis of CIED infections to provide a comprehensive overview of available evidence-based approaches and strategies to reduce the risk of CIED infections.
