Evaluation of the Effect of Oral Health Education Intervention on Primary Students in Wenjiang District of Chengdu

目的:探究口腔健康教育干预效果,评价当前健康教育技术手段的适宜性。方法:随机整群抽取2 106名小学生开展口腔健康知识问卷调查,实施口腔健康教育干预,比较干预前后儿童口腔健康知识知晓率和正确刷牙率。结果:干预后儿童口腔健康知识知晓率(84.26%)明显高于干预前(80.19%),差异有统计学意义(χ^(2)=11.052,P<0.01)。干预后儿童正确刷牙率(79.74%)较干预前(77.86%)稍有提升,但差异无统计学意义(χ^(2)=2.115,P>0.05)。结论:健康教育可有效提高儿童口腔健康知识知晓率,但正确刷牙率提高效果欠佳,需要改进和加强当前健康教育技术手段。

OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of oral health education intervention and evaluate the suitability of current health education technology.METHODS A random group of 2106 primary school students were randomly selected to cary out the oral health knowledge questionnaire survey,and the oral health education intervention was implemented to compare the awareness rate of the oral health knowledge and the correct brushing rate before and after the intervention.RESULTS The knowledge rate of oral health after intervention(84.26%)was significantly higher than that before intervention(80.19%),the difference was statistically sig-nificant(X^(2)=11.052,P<0.01).The correct brushing rate after intervention(79.74%)was slightly higher than that before intervention(77.86%),but the dfference was not statistically significant(X^(2)=2.115,P≥0.05).CONCLUSION Health education can effectively im-prove the knowledge rate of oral health,but the effect of corect brushing rate is not good.The curent health education technology needs to be improved and strengthened.
