Commentaries on the Preface to the Western Regions Documents Acquired by Huang Wenbi

黄文弼在长达三十多年的西北考察历程中,采集到的文物被分藏各地,不同的管理体制和命名方式,使得学者很难综合利用这些原件,不仅降低了这些文物材料的价值,也遮掩了黄文弼原本应当拥有的荣誉。本文介绍黄文弼所获西域文书的学术价值,揭示《黄文弼所获西域文书》是黄文弼在1927年以来的西北科学考察活动中所获西域文书的第一次完整结集,在最新的研究成果基础上,其历次采集的文书得以统一编号,再度释读,汇编成集。从此黄文弼采集文书作为一个综合体,为进一步的研究提供了高品质的文献资料。

During Huang Wenbi’s more than 30-year expedition to the Northwest in China, the cultural relics and documents collected were preserved in various places, and different management systems and naming methods made it difficult for scholars to comprehensively use these originals. It not only reduces the value of these materials, but also obscures the honor that Huang Wenbi should have. This paper intro⁃ duces the academic value of the Western Regions documents acquired by Huang Wenbi, and reveals that Manuscripts and Blockprints from the Western Regions Acquired by Huang Wenbiis, and firstly complete compilation of those Western Regions Documents during his scientific expeditions to Northwest China since 1927. Based on the latest research results, the documents collected by Huang Wenbi over the years are uniformly numbered, re-interpreted and compiled into a collection. Since then, the Huang Wenbi Doc⁃ ument Collection as a synthesis has provided high-quality literature material for further research.
