ASE泵浦Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+)共掺SiO_(2)微球产生的可调谐回廊模激光

Tunable laser of Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+)co-doped SiO_(2) microspheres based on photo-thermal effect

摘要 文中对Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+)共掺二氧化硅(SiO_(2))微球受1μm放大的自发辐射(ASE)光源激励产生的激光进行了探究。通过磁控溅射的方式在微球球冠处镀上一层铜膜,利用铜膜的光热效应以及ASE光源的偏振不敏感性,在ASE光源的同时泵浦与控制加热下,YEDS微球中产生了稳定的光纤通信L波段单模激光并实现了线性调谐,调谐范围达到了1.518nm。 In this paper,the down-conversion whispering-gallery-mode(WGM)laser generated by self-excitation of Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+) co-doped silica microspheres pumped by a 1μm amplified spontaneous emission(ASE)light source was demonstrated.A copper film was plated on the crown of the microspheres by magnetron sputtering.Using the photo-thermal-photo effect of copper and the polarization insensitivity of the ASE light source,a stable L-band single-mode laser was successfully generated in the YEDS microsphere and linear tuning was achieved under the simultaneous pumping and controlled heating of the ASE light source.The tuning range reached 1.518nm.
