Objective To explore the value of serum 25 hydroxyvitamin D[25-(OH)D]level in type 2 diabetes(T2DM)with metabolic syndrome(MS),and provide theoretical basis for clinical diagnosis. Methods The clinical data of 92 T2DM patients hospitalized in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College from April 2021 to April 2022 were collected and divided into two groups, the observation group(n=46)with T2DM combined with MS and the control group(n=46)with T2DM alone.Baseline data, relevant biochemical indices and serum 25-(OH)D levels were collected and compared between the two groups.Logistic regression models were used to assess the independent factors influencing the development of MS in T2DM combined with MS and to evaluate the predictive efficacy of serum 25-(OH)D on the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC).Results The serum 25-(OH)D level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=4.469,P<0.001).The ROC curve showed that 25-(OH)D had an AUC of 0.748 and a sensitivity of 97.8%for T2DM combined with MS,which had a certain auxiliary diagnostic effect. Conclusion Serum 25-(OH)D has predictive value for the occurrence and development of T2DM patients with MS,and can be used to assist in the diagnosis of T2DM with MS.
