Carbon Neutrality Strategy of Japan's Steel Industry

摘要 在全球碳中和的大趋势下,钢铁产业就是CO_(2)减排的主要产业。这是因为钢铁产业在产业部门中CO_(2)排放量最多,要想显著减少CO_(2)排放,或者开发零碳排放的新一代氢还原炼铁技术,技术难度都非常大。日本钢铁业界的目标是到2030年之前将CO_(2)排放量比2013年减少30%,到2050年之前持续推进高炉-转炉工艺(在超级COURSE50中使用CCUS)零碳排放、考虑废除高炉的100%氢还原炉工艺、在400 t级大型电弧炉生产高级钢种等多层次方法。通过与日本政府构筑紧密的合作关系,“产、学、官”联合发力,积极推进碳中和体系的构建。另外,韩国POSCO控股集团的目标是在2040年之前利用CCUS,2050年之前开发氢还原炼铁工艺,利用氢流动还原炉和大型电弧炉,完全替代高炉。 Under the global trend of carbon neutrality,the steel industry is the main industry for reducing CO_(2)emissions.This is because the steel industry has the highest CO_(2)emissions in the industrial sector.It is very difficult to significantly reduce CO_(2)emissions,or to develop a new generation of hydrogen reduction ironmaking technology with zero carbon emissions.The Japanese steel industry aims to reduce CO_(2)emissions by 30%from 2013 levels by 2030.By 2050,continue to advance the blast-converter process(using CCUS in Super COURSE50)to zero carbon emissions,consider abolishing the 100%hydrogen reduction furnace process in blast furnaces,and produce advanced steel grades in a 400 ton large electric arc furnace.By building a close cooperative relationship with the Japanese government,the"industry,academia,and officials"are working together to actively promote the construction of a carbon neutrality system.In addition,the goal of POSCO Holding Group in South Korea is to utilize CCUS by 2040 and develop a hydrogen reduction ironmaking process by 2050,using hydrogen flow reduction furnaces and large electric arc furnaces to completely replace blast furnaces.
