柴窑是以木材为燃料的陶瓷窑炉,为我国传统陶瓷艺术的发展做出了重要贡献。20世纪80年代中期以后,我国引入了现代柴窑,并烧造出与传统陶瓷艺术大不相同的现代柴窑陶艺。现代柴窑陶艺在泥料选择、成型工艺、窑变等方面具有独特的工艺特色,并具有浑厚拙朴的造型、自然天成的装饰、民族化的艺术思想等鲜明的艺术特色。

Chai kiln is a ceramic kiln that uses wood as fuel and has made important contributions to the development of traditional ceramic art in China.After the mid-1980s,China introduced modern firewood kilns and produced modern firewood kiln ceramics that were vastly different from traditional ceramic art.Modern firewood kiln pottery has unique technological characteristics in mud selection,molding process,kiln transformation,and other aspects,and has distinct artistic characteristics such as rich and crude shapes,natural decoration,and nationalized artistic ideas.
