As one of the special forms of traditional patchwork art clothing,"patchwork" echoes the "3R" concept of green design by reusing ragged fabrics.Through the analysis of different forms,cultural connotations,and style features in the history of patchwork,thispaper aims to make more people know the traditional Chinese patchwork art,stimulate people's desire to explore the patchwork,and better integrate it into modern clothing design,so as to inherit and develop traditional Chinese patchwork clothing culture in modern clothing design.The paper also applies the design of patchwork elements to the clothing according to the geometric combination,which provides some reference for the innovative application of patchwork elements combined with green design concept in modern design.
