Cold abstraction,represented by Mondrian,was born in Europe in the early twentieth century,pursuing the orderly expression of a minimalist artistic language,which had a profound impact on twentieth century architectural design.This paper adopts a literature review and case study approach to investigate Mondrian's cold abstract colour style and its application in architectural design.By analysing the background of the twentieth century,it analyses the way in which the cold abstract colour style was applied in architectural design and its effects.It also summarises the inspiration and influence of Mondrian's cold abstract colour style on architectural design,and proposes a way of applying the logic of rational thinking in practical architectural design to summarise the objective world into a spiritual language and apply this to its own expressive art.
