论王韬《漫游随录》中的类比式西方想象

On the Analogical Western Imagination in Recording of Traveling by Wang Tao

作为晚清时期第一位以个人身份出访西方的知识分子,王韬借由类比式想象,在其游记《漫游随录》中刻画了一个美好、理想的西方形象。具体来说,通过地景类比,王韬在地理胜景层面构建了一个繁华、富庶的西方形象;通过科教类比,王韬在科技文教层面再现了一个进步、发达的西方形象;通过女性类比,王韬在女性想象层面勾画了一个古典、浪漫的西方形象。与此同时,《漫游随录》的话语模式也脱离不了中国传统文化的制约,体现出了浓厚的本土色彩。

As the first intellectual who visited the West as an individual in the late Qing Dynasty,Wang Tao portrayed a beautiful and i⁃deal Western image in his travel book Recording of Traveling by analogical imagination.Specifically,through the analogy of landscape,Wang Tao constructed a prosperous and prosperous Western image at the level of geographical scenery.Through the analogy of science and education,Wang Tao reproduces a progressive and developed western image in the level of science and technology,culture and edu⁃cation.Through female analogy,Wang Tao sketches a classical and romantic Western image on the level of female imagination.At the same time,the discourse mode of Recording of Traveling can not be separated from the restriction of traditional Chinese culture,which reflects a strong local color.
