Ritual and music performances played a significant role in music education during theZhou Dynasty. These performances encompassed various elements such as body posture, speech andvoice, clothing color, and quantity, aiming to achieve a harmonious integration of behavior, spiritualcommunication, and the expression of consciousness. This allowed for the vivid external manifestation ofmoral values. Additionally, the stages and texts of ritual and music performances were carefully alignedwith the ritual themes, subject behavior, and subject identities. As a result, they showcased a notablecombination of formality and diversity, providing a concentrated depiction of moral implications. Theadoption of ritual and music performances as an educational method in the Zhou Dynasty was attributedto their ability to transform abstract concepts into tangible forms and integrate emotions into rituals.Furthermore, these performances often involved the active involvement of participants, performers, andrecipients, facilitating the effective dissemination of ethical and moral values.
