《人民日报》与《朝日新闻》涉疫社论中的隐喻对比研究

A comparative study on metaphor in COVID-19 related editorials from People’s Daily and Asahi Shimbun

社论文章因其特有的评论性与权威性,在社会舆论引导方面发挥着重要作用。本研究以认知语言学中的概念隐喻理论为分析框架,选取《人民日报》与《朝日新闻》的涉疫社论自建小型数据库,分别统计两报的隐喻使用情况,归纳隐喻使用类型,并对所得数据进行对比分析。研究结果表明,《人民日报》涉疫社论中战争、旅途、建筑等隐喻的使用频次较多,语篇结构紧凑,内容积极向上,以一对一映射为主;《朝日新闻》涉疫社论的主要隐喻类型为旅途隐喻、拟人隐喻和战争隐喻,呈现出论述主体庞杂,语义氛围紧张,同一源域对应多个目标域的特点。究其原因,一是中日两国在疫情期间的不同政治诉求;二是中日两国对待“灾难与生存”的不同态度。

Editorial articles play an important role in guiding public opinions for their unique commentary and authority.Based on the conceptual metaphor theory in cognitive linguistics,this study selected the selfbuilt small database of editorials related to COVID-19 from People’s Daily and Asahi Shimbun,which are major newspapers in China and Japan,and made statistics on the use of metaphor in both newspapers’editorial articles,summarized the types of metaphoric use,and made a comparative analysis of the data.The results show that metaphors related to war,journey,architecture and other types are used more frequently in the editorial discourse of People’s Daily,with compact structure,positive content and one-to-one mapping.The main types of metaphors in the editorial discourse of Asahi Shimbun are journey metaphor,anthropomorphic metaphor and war metaphor,which are characterized by a complex discourse subject,a serious semantic attitude,and multiple target domains corresponding to the same source domain.The root cause is that China and Japan have different political demands during the pandemic,and different attitudes towards“disaster and survival”.
