The teaching content of sanitary chemistry is closely related to the principles,devices,methods,and applications of various analytical instruments,which poses a challenge for medical students with insufficient knowledge on physics and chemistry.To address this issue,this article explores the integration of popular science elements into the teaching of sanitary chemistry to make it more accessible,practical,and interesting to students,and to inspire students’curiosity and interest in learning.This paper discusses the knowledge points where the elements of popular science can be integrated and the measures that can be taken.This new teaching meth-od aims to promote scientific literacy and innovation awareness in the students and provide a reference for the teaching reform in similar courses.
