20世纪30年代,上海的左翼电影运动是中国电影史上最光彩的篇章之一。中国共产党早期领导人瞿秋白在左翼电影运动的兴起与发展中,发挥了巨大作用。左翼电影滥觞之时,当时的左翼电影小组的负责人就得到了瞿秋白的具体指示与指导,这为左翼电影的发展奠定了坚实的基础。瞿秋白有关电影问题的谈话,虽然就事论事,也不系统,但思想内容却非常丰富,具有很高的理论价值,对于今天的中国电影事业,依然具有一定的启发。

The left-wing film movement in Shanghai in the 1930s is one of the most glorious chapters in the history of Chinese films.Qu Qiubai,the early leader of the Communist Party of China,played an enormous role in the rise and development of the left-wing film movement.When the left-wing film started,the persons in charge of the left-wing film team at that time received Qu Qiubai’s specific instructions and guidance,laying a solid foundation for the development of the left-wing film.Qu Qiubai’s talks on film issues,though practical and unsystematic,were rich in ideological content and were of extremely high ideological value,and they still are of positive guiding significance for today’s Chinese film industry.
