FengWu,an AI weather forecast model released in April by Shanghai AI Laboratory and its partners,is capable of reducing erroneous predictions for 10-day forecasts by 19.4 percent compared to traditional models.Named after China's earliest meteorological instrument from the Han Dynasty(202 BCE-220 CE),FengWu outperformed GraphCast,the latest AI model from Google's DeepMind.
