自然的范围广大无边,稀疏而不会有一点漏失。天网,即自然之范围,后比喻国法。“天网恢恢,疏而不漏”引申为虽然法律规定宽缓,却不会遗漏有罪之人。现在多用来警告那些企图违反法律的人。

Nature is like an all-encompassing net;sparsely meshed as it is,nothing can slip through it.The net of heaven,or the scope of nature,is later used figuratively to refer to the law of the state.This concept indicates that no one would get away with a guilty deed though the law may be lenient.Nowadays,it is usually used to warn people against tendencies to violate the law.
