Since the beginning of the 21st century,the UK-Russian relations have undergone a great transformation from cooperation to confrontation.Before the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict in 2022,Britain already regarded Russia as the"most acute direct threat to the UK".After the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict,UK-Russian relations,which had deteriorated,collapsed completely.The UK decided to stand with Ukraine and fight against Russia,which profoundly affected the development of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict outside the battlefield.The UK supplied Ukraine with a large number of weapons and equipment,adopted various ways to boost the morale of the Ukrainian army,provided lots of military intelligence to help Ukraine in front-line operations,and made Russia pay the price in information and digital warfare.The UK has imposed economic sanctions on Russia,frozen Russian state-owned assets and personal properties in the UK,implemented the decoupling from Russia gradually,and tried to use the frozen Russian assets in the UK to help Ukraine recover.Britain's active participation in the Russia-Ukraine conflict aims to show its justice to the world and further promote its global influence with the help of the alliance.
