由王德威主编以“世界中”为主能指的《哈佛新编中国现代文学史》的出现,是一场对文学史程式化生产困境的突围,并在结构上达成了拉康意义上歇斯底里的机制。这使得其在展现文学史的盘根错节时具有了反本质主义的姿态,而这一姿态却在形式上暗合了当今的碎片化潮流,在突围时陷入了悖反的症结中,须以复归本质的方式才能使得原本漂浮的意义落实。作为文学史的接受者,想要化解这一症结,就应把握“世界中”这一歇斯底里话语对于意义的“撬动”作用,对文学史进行再反思与重新阐释。

The arrival of A New Literary History of Modern China,edited by David Der-wei Wang with“in the world”as the main signifier,is a breakthrough out of the stylized production dilemma of literary history.Structurally speaking,it accomplishes the mechanism of the hysteric in Lacanic sense.Not surprisingly,it takes on an anti-es-sentialist attitude when presenting the intertwined literary history,one in implicit alignment with the current trend of fragmentation in form.Given the sticking point of contradiction it fell into in such breaking through,only by re-turning to the essence can the original meaning of floating be implemented.For the purpose of solving this problem,readers as receivers of literary history should grasp the“prying”effect of the“in the world”discourse of the hysteric on meaning,and rethink and reinterpret literary history.
