The application of BIM technology in the entire process of engineering consulting work is an important measure to deeply implement the supply side structural reform of the construction industry,but there are still areas for improvement in practical application.In view of the problems of information asymmetry,fragmentation of services,independence of each stage,and miscellaneous management elements in the whole process of engineering consultation,this paper comprehensively summarizes the application value of BIM technology in the whole process of engineering consultation from the aspects of architectural engineering design,preparation,construction,completion,acceptance,etc.,in combination with the advantages of BIM technology life cycle integrated service.A feasible plan has been proposed to enhance the application effect of BIM technology in the entire process of engineering consulting.The implementation ideas of the plan have been elaborated through design consulting,decision-making consulting,bidding management consulting,construction management consulting,completion acceptance consulting,etc.This can provide certain reference and assistance for the practical application research of BIM technology in the entire process of engineering consulting.
