Philosophy,as the essence of the spirit of the times and the living soul of civilization,always shapes or guides the new spirit of the times.Marxist philosophy,as the worldview with which the Communist Party of China(CPC)is founded,is the ideological foundation that ensures the Party’s advancement and purity.Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era has utilized the scientific worldview of Marxist dialectical materialism to make many original achievements:the important ideas on grasping the initiative of history and better adhering to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era has opened up a new realm for the development of Marxist philosophy in the new era;the important ideas on adherence to and strengthening the Party’s allaround leadership has realized innovations of Marxist theories on political parties;and the important ideas on strengthening the leadership of the Party in the new era has realized theoretical innovations of the Party in the new era.These ideas have not only enriched the theoretical treasury of Marxism,but also made significant original contributions to the innovation and development of Marxist philosophy.
