摘要
《大学英语教学指南》(2020版)将大学英语定性为核心通识课程,蔡基刚教授提出了大学通识教育的四个转向。这四个转向符合通识教育的根本任务和基本特征,致力于提高学生的生命素养。然而,如何在时代发生巨变和社会需求呈现多层次化的情况下,做出恰如其分的应对,帮助学生提前做好知识准备,尤其是在大学英语的教学中,如何充分体认通识博雅教育的实质,并探索与实际情况符合的路径,来实践这四个转向,值得深思和探讨。
The 2020 edition of the Guide to Teaching English at the University characterizes English at the University as a core liberal studies course,and Professor Cai Jigang has proposed four shifts in university liberal studies education.These four shifts are in line with the fundamental mission and basic characteristics of liberal arts education,which are dedicated to improving students'life literacy.However,it is worth considering and discussing how to respond appropriately to the dramatic changes of the times and the multi-layered demands of society,and to help students prepare their knowledge in advance,especially in the teaching of English at the university,and how to fully appreciate the essence of liberal arts education and explore pathways that are in line with the actual situation to put these four shifts into practice.
