New Trends of Pragmatic Competence Studies over the Past Ten Years

语用能力研究近十年来取得了新的进展。理论上的进展包括研究范围的扩大、认识的深化以及内涵的丰富。应用研究则聚焦学习者语用能力的发展,凸显语用教学对其作用,关注其与语言水平间的关系。语用能力研究还揭示了学习者语用能力的复合性、发展性和建构性等特征。在语用能力的理论和应用研究中,我国学者作出了积极的贡献,在英语作为通用语的交互文化语用能力研究和语用教学与学习者语用能力发展研究等方面皆取得了显著成果。

Theoretical and applicational studies of pragmatic competence have made new advancements over the past ten years.Theoretical advancements are characterized by the expanded research scope,deepened understanding and enriched connotations of pragmatic competence.Applicational advancements are focused on language learners'development in pragmatic competence,the effects of pragmatic instruction on their pragmatic competence and the relationship between their language proficiency and pragmatic competence development.The new trends in pragmatic competence studies reveal that language learners'pragmatic competence is characterized as being composite,developmental,and constructive.In the new advancements of research on pragmatic competence,China's scholars are found to have made remarkable contributions,with special accomplishments made in research on pragmatic competence in English as a lingua franca in intercultural contexts and language learners'pragmatic competence development in relation to language proficiency and pragmatic instruction.
