Vapor corrosion inhibitor is an important method to temporarily protect against atmospheric corrosion of metallic products.Owing to simple operation,low cost,and high efficiency,vapor corrosion inhibitors have made some progress ranging from fundamental theory to practical applications within recent years.This paper gave a systematic summary and comments on the characteristics,corrosion inhibition mechanism,influence factors,research progress,and practical application of vapor corrosion inhibitor.The future development prospect was also analyzed.
