Objective To explore the application effect of workshop combined with problem-based learning(PBL)teaching method in clinical first aid skill teaching of nursing students. Methods A total of 97 nursing students who practiced in Shengjing Hospital affiliated to China Medical University from January to December 2021 were divided into control group(n=32),PBL group(n=31)and combined group(n=34)according to the teaching method. The traditional teaching mode was adopted in the control group, and the PBL method was adopted in the PBL group on the basis of the control group, while the workshop mode was adopted in the combined group. The clinical first-aid ability and clinical comprehensive ability of the three groups of nursing students were compared. Results There were significant differences in the scores and total scores of theoretical knowledge, clinical skills and clinical comprehensive ability among the three groups(P<0.05).The scores and total score of PBL group and combined group were significantly higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The combined group was higher than that in PBL group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion PBL combined workshop mode is adopted for clinical teaching of nursing students, which can comprehensively cultivate their clinical first-aid ability.
