Epidemiology and clinical characteristics of pediatric osteomyelitis in northern California

摘要 Pediatric osteomyelitis is a serious infection in children leading to significant morbidity and hospitalization[1].Infections most commonly occur in the long bones,and 52%-70% are caused by Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)[2-4].Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)has been associated with higher rates of complications for children with acute osteomyelitis.
