利用《通典》进行礼制研究有广阔空间

Broad Space to Study on Ritual System by Tong Dian

《通典》对当今制度史和礼制研究具有重要价值,对《通典》这类有代表性、开创性的传世史书和相关制度史研究应当引起重视,包括发扬《通典》“实学”精神在内的许多问题亟待重新认识和发掘,而全书占有最大比重的礼制沿革及《开元礼纂类》最有广阔空间。其编写内容及特色,与安史乱后回归开元的理想和唐代整体社会思潮的关系,乃至相关的杜佑个人长期任职江淮的生平经历等都应当是关注的内容与对象,值得大大拓展。

This article discusses the value of Tong Dian(Encyclopaedic history of the institutions of government),to the current studies on the institutional history and ritual system of traditional China.It is believed that attention should be paid to the representative and ground-breaking historical works handed down from generation to generation,such as Tong Dian and the related studies on institutional history.Many issues,including carrying forward the spirit of practical learning in Tong Dian,must be urgently re-recognized and explored.What's more,the content of the evolution of the ritual system and Kaiyuan Li Zhuan Lei(Ritual of the Great Tang arranged by genre,Kaiyuan era),which occupy the largest proportion of the whole book,have broad space to study.I suggest that some issues should be paid more attention to,such as the content and writing characteristics of Tong Dian,the relationship between the ideal of returning to the Kaiyuan Reign after the Anshi Rebellion,the overall social trend of thought in the Tang Dynasty,and even the related personal experience of Du You(735-812)'s long-term tenure in the Yangzi and Huai river region.Studies on those issues are worth greatly expanding.
