面向5G时代的大众传播新样态构想——基于“技术—社会”互构视角

Restrained Imagination:A New Pattern of Mass Communication in the 5G Era-Based on the Perspective of Inter-Construction between Technology and Society

大众传播在5G时代将呈现何种新样态?既有研究贡献了兼具前瞻性与想象力的观点,但也面临说服力不足的挑战。为此,本研究尝试从技术与社会之间协同演化的关系入手,在媒介技术尤其是互联网技术发展的“大历史”脉络中探寻答案。文章构建了技术—社会—传播(TSC)分析框架,依据此框架对从语言、文字诞生至今的大众传播演化史进行系统回顾。在此基础上,聚焦社会主体之间传—受关系结构和媒介技术应用两个核心要素,谨慎推测5G时代的大众传播将呈现一种复合样态,可以简化表示为两者的“叠乘”:(沉浸式+场景化)×(多中心“一对多”分众传播+圈层化“多对多”交互传播)。

What new pattern will mass communication present in the 5G era?Although the existing research has contributed both forward-looking and imaginative views,it also faces the challenge of insufficiency of persuasiveness.For this reason,this paper,starting from the co-evolution relationship between technology and society,attempts to explore the answer in the“big history”context of the development of media technology,especially Internet.Firstly,this paper constructs an analytical framework of technology-society-communication(TSC),and then,systematically reviews the evolution history of mass communication from the birth of language as well as characters to the present day according to the framework.On this basis,it is prudent to speculate that the mass communication in the 5G era will present a composite pattern of“superposition”,which can be simplified as:(Immersive+Scenario-based)×(Polycentric“one-to-many”focus communication+Stratified“many-to-many”interactive communication).
