This paper detailly introduce the breakdown mill several pattern in composition,layout and mill body structure for special alloy long product rolling,by contrasting their advantage and disadvantage,confirm that 3-high rolling mill will be sifted out step by step,2-high reversible mill will be used widely due to it's high automation and low labour intensity.For 120~180 mm square billet,adopting 2-high reversible moving mill as breakdown mill,it is suitable for low production special alloy long product rolling,the product size precision is higher,and surface quality is better.
