摘要
中医学认为,睡眠效率比睡眠时长更重要,起卧与太阳同步才能获得高效睡眠,否则有损健康。为此,中国古人对昼与夜作了明确的划分便于落实昼寤夜寐,将一日分为四季,将十二时辰中的亥时称为“人定”,认为亥子丑是一日中的冬藏深眠时段。五更制、宵禁制度的实施,都体现了古人对亥、子、丑入睡的重视。同时,四季昼夜长短不同,睡眠时间段也相应调整,夏季晚睡早起,冬季早睡晚起,春秋早睡早起。这种高度重视睡眠时段以提高睡眠效率的作息观念充分体现了顺应天道的中医理念。
According to the theory of Chinese medicine,sleep efficiency is more important than sleep duration,which is obtained by getting up and sleeping synchronously with the sun,if not it is harmful to health.Therefore,the ancient Chinese made a clear division of day and night to facilitate the implementation of sleeping schedule.A day was divided into four seasons as a year,and 21:00 to 3:00 was regarded as the period of hibernation in a day.The period of 21:00-23:00 was called“Rending”,which means time to sleep.They also implemented the five nocturnal time units and curfew institution,which reflected their attention to sleep period.Besides,since the length of day and night differs from seasons,sleep period is also adjusted accordingly.People sleep early in spring,autumn and winter,late in summer;get up early in spring,summer and autumn,late in winter.Attaching great importance to sleep period to improve sleep efficiency embodies the concept of following the natural law in traditional Chinese medicine.
