摘要
彼得斯提出了“媒介即存有”的观念,认为媒介是人类存在的组成部分,媒介是人类的生存境况。他的媒介哲学洋溢着“深层生态意义”,他认为自然即媒介,提出“元素型媒介”的概念,从而开启了他的“奇云”之旅。而我们基于中华文化语境提出“生活媒介”,通过阐释“道”的元媒介特性,进而指出“道”作为基础设施型媒介,已经成为中国人全部意义世界的表征符号。如此,在与西方文明的比照中,“道”彰显其作为中华“文明之秩序的设定装置”的地位与价值,这就如同逻格斯作为西方“文明之秩序的设定装置”的重要性。因此,“道”可以作为中国媒介哲学的核心观念。扩而言之,我们坚守对“道”的信仰,正是中华文明传承绵延五千年的传播原理所在。换言之,正是凭借“道”这一基础设施型媒介,才能从根本上确立起中华民族的精神标识和身份认同。
Peters proposed the concept of"Environments are media",arguing that media is a constituent part of human existence and that it shapes the conditions of human survival.His media philosophy is imbued with a"profound ecological significance"as he regards nature itself as the media and introduces the concept of"Elemental Media",thus embarking on his journey of"The Marvelous Clouds".Building upon the cultural context of China,we put forth the concept of"Living Media"and elucidate the meta-media characteristics of the"Dao"(the Way),thereby asserting that the"Dao"as an infrastructure-type media,has become the symbolic representation of the entire world of meaning for the Chinese people.In this regard,in comparison with Western civilization,the"Dao"manifests its position and value as the""setting device of Chinese civilization's order"much like Logos represents the importance of the"setting device of Western civilization's order".Therefore,the"Dao"can be regarded as the core concept of Chinese media philosophy.In a broader sense,our adherence to the belief in the"Dao"represents the principle of communication that has been passed down for five thousand years in Chinese civilization.In other words,it is precisely by virtue of the"Dao"as an infrastructure-type media that the spiritual identity and recognition of the Chinese nation can be fundamentally established.
